I love "that's so raven" what happened to her mom on the show?

I asked my son the same thing, he said that on the show she has gone to school in Europe. Now I don't know what has happened to the woman who played her mom. I would think as the actors are getting older, they would want to go on an do other things, so the show may not be on much longer, but I haven't heard that. I really like the show.
