Places like McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's etc allows 15 yr olds to work for them but you can only work certain hours, certain work stations, etc. More or less no hard work.

Grocery stores hire 15 yr olds to collect grocery carts from the parking lot.

Fire up that lawnmower and go cut some grass. Avg yard today pays $20 at least per mowing by professional service. So go mow a few a day, few days a week and you could make an easy $100. Can make an easy $15 per hour doing this.

Find some old people living near you. Run errands for them on your bike or moped. Trips to store for milk, eggs, bread, etc. Let them pay you a few dollars per trip for the service.

Also hit up the old people for mowing their grass, cleaning out their garage, washing their cars, washing their outside windows, etc. They get a kick out of having a kid around and normally pay you with cookies and brownies plus money.

Ride your bike around and check out dumpsters behind business's, stores, etc. Ride your bike around the neighborhood when people set items out for the trash. Once it is out for trash it is free stuff for anyone. Pick out a few decent items that you know have some value and either ebay them, pawn them, or sell them in a garage sale. (ebay or pawn shop you will need parents help). A month of collection from trash and a 1 day garage sale in the front lawn can easily result in a few hundred dollars.

Lemonaide stand, paper route, etc work but is pennies a day. I am sure you want to make dollar bills not coins.

Just remember the key word....work....work = cash.

I know I started working at a local restaurant a month after I turned 15 as a busperson. It was a family owned restaurant and I had to get a workers' permit. I wouldn't even attempt the bigger restaurants because most of them want you to be at least 16 or even 18. I would attempt smaller restaurants or maybe golf courses need some sort of help....I sold golfballs for a few years when I was 13/14. Then there are the usual....babysitting, offering housecleaning services for locals.....you could post these on postaroo.com for free that way you don't have to waste money in case no one calls. Hope this helps....good luck!

Best deal - work for yourself. Don't be a wage slave.
If you know ANYTHING about computers (and which 15 yo boy doesn't) print up flyers and post around neighborhood, businesses, stores, advertising yourself as a "Computer Tutor, Computer Setup," whatever.

Also - grass cutting very good, but many people already have gardeners.

Really good idea - Dog Walker - if you're in any type of upscale urban or suburban community. Be trustworthy.
Depends on what you like to do.
If you like working with your hands - hire yourself out as a handyman.

I once had a business in which we delivered bagels on Sunday mornings. Made 110% profit on the bagels.

Of course, babysitting. Easy work. You don't have to like kids, but it helps. Take the Red Cross babysitting course & a cpr course.

If you live near the water, boat owners are always looking for kids to maintain the boat - washing, waxing, etc.

Get a lifeguard certificate - great work, good benefits.

That's all I have for now. Good luck!

I think ages 10 - 20 you're pretty effected by peer pressure and you're still learning a lot of the basics in life. By the time you're 35 there's a good chance you will be well established with a career or a general idea of what you want to do with your life. I'm 18 and my personality is greatly effected by others going to colleges or having nicer things than me, stuff like that. I'm not shallow, but things like that can effect anyone even on the smallest level. And I have a feeling I'm not alone in that.

Your personality can change throughout your life. Your personality is based upon certain temperaments that you are born with, the interactions that temperament has with the environment, and the choice you make when confronted with these interactions. The influence of each of these factors will be different at different times. The choices you make are influenced by your cognitive abilities and past history. Since your brain is not fully developed until you are in your early twenties, the influence of your cognition is not liely to be stable until after that time. The last part of the brain to develop fully is the frontal lobes and that part of your brain affects decision-making, particularly in social contexts, and in developing strategies and planning behavior. That is why research finds that the rebellious behavior against parental mores during adolescence often turns into compliance with parental mores in the late twenties. When people have children, they usually fall back on what they learned from their parents to raise their children, often even if their family life was dysfunctional (although less than half of the time; the others either improve on what they learned and become better parents or they decide not to be parents). People often revert back to previously learned behavior when confronted with conflicts, but some people see that they are dissatisfied with the results and learn better responses. There are no easy answers for your question.

In New York State, maybe everywhere, you need to get "working papers." There are restrictions on how many hours, and which hours, you can work at your age. Besides the usual fast food places, your public library probably hires "pages." These are young students like you who shelve books, help with the Xerox machine, etc. It's clean, easy work that probably pays at least as well as McDonald's. Also check your local supermarket and other small stores in your town.

You can't work for a company at 15 very easily. Way too much red tape. Mow your neighbor's yards. $20-50 a yard depending on size.

I started at Winn-Dixie when I was 15, but I could only work very short hours and days because of child labor laws.
