Do you think That so called "APOLOGY" is viewed or read by the Kids around the World as the Final match was viewed by them? I 've asked many kids about what they thought about his apology and here is the answer from all of them --

"very bad Player..He almost killed his opponent, I will never look up to him now"

An apology is acceptable only if you have regrets... ! Whats the use of it now, When he could 've got the World Cup for France, He screwed up -- Keeping your cool is important in Competetive games and He succumed to Opposition's plans.Which shows How weak in Sporting Spirit he was..

Both players were wrong anyways!

Where's Materazzi's apology? That coward just ran home to Italy with all the glory. I feel so bad for Zidane. It may have been THE worst moment for a guy to defend the honor of his sister and mother but still, it is unfair that he has to bear all the burden of that incident. It's clear that Matarazzi and the Italian players were targetting him and using dirty tricks to wear Zidande down before the PKs.

Zidane has been the best at his position and at the game for the past 10 years and nobody can take that away from him.. and he was clearly the best at this world cup.what he did was a mistake and he did apologized and showed that he was a good person we all go through things like that you cant denied it if you do then you are full of it.

I'm not sure if you watch any American sports or not, but what Zidane did was classy. He did not sit there and have his attorney make a statement. He did not sit there and read a statement that was not his. He told the truth, apologized, and was done with it. AMerican athletes always hide behind pieces of paper. I say classy for Zidane.

I think he should have apologized to everyone not just to those who watched him. He could have really hurt someone out there. A real man would have walked away and used his anger towards getting a goal. Instead France lost!!!! I was rooting for Italy anyway .

I think he had a mental breakdown at the worse possible time and because of it, France lost the world cup. Afterall, his replacement in the penalty kicks MISSED the kick.

However, to error is human and forgivable.

Unfortunately, his legacy will always be tied to this incident and that's shame for a player of his caliber.

zidane is such a wonderful level headed player...and to do what he did to that silly italian man means that he must have been really offended.
(what was said to him?)

nonetheless, i consider him a wonderful man, for apologizing to the youth, and even for heading the dumb italian do i think he is great, why must he be looked down upon for defending himself and his family???

down with italy...long live zidane the great!

He's a hero. Somebody give him a medal for telling the truth.

What a joke. I'm glad he was not allowed on the pitch when france was handed there Silver (hahaha) medals.

Did he appologize to his fans , or to the game of Soccer , or to the name of good sportmanship ?

I still think he's a puss and many people are laughing at him . Trash-talking is not new in sports, they do that all the time . If he started it, he should have get a hold of his temper instead of losing it . Imagine players do that in the NBA or NFL , then we should see alot of headbuttings everyday .

This isn't an opinion,it is a fact: He is a criminal. He committed a criminal act for which there is no excuse. Now for the opinion: Throw him in jail and throw away the key.
