You mean Houdini style magic, or Harry Potter style magic? Either way, my question is at what point of understanding the feat does the magician stop considering the act magical?

I am very into magic and fantasy. My biggest question concerns whether magic can exist in the present day or in the future. Many (though not all) books about magic focus on the past or vestiges of medieval times. We live in such an age of information--mystery is hard to come by. Do you think magic still exists/can exist/makes sense today? I hope so.

It's all a con. isn't it? Essentially.
It would be marvellous if the Merlin/Harry Potter stuff was real. But then we'd all be at it and my account balance would have a few more £'s in credit........
But magic people are usually optimists, so good to have around, so good luck to you anyway. (I am not insinuating that you are a con-man) - just in case you start libel proceedings!

Biggest question. Why do people believe that it is real?I mean, even the title of magician and illusionist suggest that what they are doing on(and off)stage is just showmanship.

How did David Copperfield walk through the Great Wall of China? Does he have a twin, or did he use a secret passage, or what?

If you have the answer, please tell me.

The acts are usually good, but why do they tell such cheesy jokes. Put advice in the book to stop this and do us all a favour. Thanks lol
