A hand job is bringing your partner to climax manually (with your hand/s).

Foreplay is what you do before actual intercourse ... kissing, petting, teasing, hugging, cuddling, oral sex.

In human sexual behavior, foreplay is a set of intimate psychological and physical acts between two or more people, meant to build up sexual arousal. Foreplay takes place in preparation for sexual intercourse or another act meant to bring about mutual sexual gratification or orgasm.

Handjob is a term that describes the sexual stimulation of a partner's penis using the hands and fingers. The manual stimulation of a female partner's sex organs is not generally called a handjob.

Handjobs may or may not end in ejaculation or orgasm; they may be part of foreplay or part of or a precursor to other sexual activities, or may constitute the entire sexual encounter.

Handjobs, like other forms of sexual activity, may take the place of penetrative sex, or may provide sexual pleasure to a partner when penetrative intercourse is not possible or desirable.

For some males handjobs are very pleasurable, since little physical effort is required and they are not distracted by thrusting or the need to stimulate their partner. Also, since a partner's hands can produce a variety of sensations, a handjob can incorporate a large amount of stimulation and variety. As with other forms of sexual stimulation, the giving partner can also receive significant pleasure and sexual excitement from providing pleasure to their partner. Performing a handjob can be exciting for the giver, as they can directly observe the sexual excitement and physical reactions of their partner. Handjobs are often the first form of sexual contact between inexperienced partners. Hand jobs often include stimulation of the perineum as well as the testes. [1]

A hand job can be given with or without lubrication. Without lubrication, a gentle sliding of the shaft's skin up and down may also be effective but may take longer to produce orgasm.

a hand job is using your hand to get a guy off (ejaculate)
foreplay is doing sexually playful stuff to get aroused/in the mood before actually indulging in intercourse.
