I have iMovie on my computer, but the DVD+R's AND DVD+RW's are "Read-Only" and can't be edited...

I can't import or save the dvd to my computer. I assume this is because it is read-only.

DVD+R are read-only, once they're burnt, you can't change the content. RWs can be erased and rewritten, but you can't edit the content on the discs directly, you have to copy it your harddrive first, then edit it, and then put it back on the discs.

Second thing is, iMovie doesn't allow you to use video that are already on DVD discs, because of possible copyright infrictions. You may need to get Final Cut Pro to be able to do it, and even then I'm not sure if it'll let you do it.

Final Cut Pro will not allow you to edit already recorded DVDs.

DVD RAM is the ONLY disc that can be EDITED.

You must rip your DVD+ disc onto your PC then edit with your favorite video editor. Then re burn your DVD to a new unused DVD.
