Like most everyone else, I'd have to say Anne Boleyn. She may not have been the most likable or the most admirable, but hers is certainly the most interesting story of all the wives. People are still trying to figure out what she was really like, if she really cared for Henry or if she was just ambitious. Or, did she act out of revenge because Henry wouldn't let her marry her first love. Was she guilty as accused or was she framed to make way for wife #3? How did Henry's great love for her turn so quickly to hatred? Lots of intriguing mystery there!

Most Of Them Had Good Attributes.
1st Wife - Catherine Of Aragon Was A Strong Person (Even Masterminded A Battle Against Invasion In Henry's Absence)Who Stood Up For Herself Til The Very End Even With All He Put Her Through. Plus She Stayed Married To Him The Longest; 24 years, 20-some Of That Fine Until He Strayed To Anne.
3rd Wife - Jane Seymour Succeeded In Doing What None Of His Other 5 Wives Could, She Bore Him A Son. I Truly Believe She And Henry Would Of Lasted For That Very Reason If She Hadn't Died Following Edward's Birth.
6th & Final Wife- Catherine Parr, Well She Survived Him That Was A Feat In Itself And Hers & Henry's Marriage Lasted Longer Than Any Of His Others Except His First To Catherine Of Aragon.

Anne Boleyn. She was the mother of Elizabeth I, England's greatest queen. She wielded the power she had for the good Protestantism in England. She went to her death with dignity and without rancor, defending the King, even as he had her head chopped off.
But on the other hand, I feel greatly for Catherine of Aragon, for Henry had no just cause to put her away, and Anne was wrong to encourage Henry at all.

Catherine of Aragon, his first wife. It isn't mentioned much that she and Henry were happily married for about 20 years before Anne Boleyn caught his eye. She defended her honor in court when he tried to divorce her, before he broke from the Catholic church, and to the day she died she refused to accept it. She even refused to go to a nunnery, because that meant she was becoming a bride of God, when she had an earthly husband. If she had given in meekly, Henry probably would have let her live in peace, but as it was, he treated her terribly until her death. I respect the way she stood up for what she believed in.

Catherine Parr was a really decent women. She was a wonderful mother to children that were not hers and even raised them after Henry died. She talked Henry into reinstating the title of Princess on Mary as well although that may have been to little to late. I do like Anne Bolynn though for her cleverness and spirit, even though she was a bit manipulative.

Catherine Parr. The only one to outlast him. She was clearly not an idiot if she did that.
I have a special place in my heart for Anne of Cleves who Henry thought would be quite lovely, but turned out...not so much. Henry wasn't what she thought he'd be either. But they seemed to respect each other, so I guess I go with the smart ones.

Anne of Cleves - cause she was just so ugly Henry dumped her for wife #5, but he found her such a fun person to talk with that she lived at court for the rest of her life anyway.
