Two. The first time, I got stuck in a box junction and tried to edge past a lorry that was blocking my view. The examiner slammed the brakes on - instant fail. The second time, I took the test in my own car which did not have dual control, so the same thing could not happen again. I passed. Never had to take the written test though.

I Passed My Theory 1st Time
but my Driving Test i Passed 2nd Time as on my first some stupid woman walked out in front of me and braked and the bloke told me i should have looked im my mirror first so i failed 1st time on that my instructor was going to say that it was unfair as she did something wrong but i had already failed as he said i did not look and see this car when i was re-rerse parking but i know i saw it as it was a black ford Mondo but hey oh 2nd time was good enough for me i have been driving 4 years now

well, i passed the written part the first attempt. The driving part htough was strange. It took me 3 times to get that part right. But here in Aiken County , South Carolina they ask you to do some weird **** you would NEVER have to actually do. I never remembered learning those things in my everyday experience of driving. AND i had a little trouble parallel parking.

The written test I passed the first time I took it. The road test I tried twice, passed the second time.

Two, the first test the guy grading me had it out for me at my first stop sign. He must have not trusted me because as I approached the sign he grabbed hold of the emergency break for his dear life. Then I screwed up at a large intersection. It was bad.

The second time I took it, it was raining and I got a wonderfully nice woman. She coached me through it. Telling me how far to inch up and when to turn, she was great and I passed with flying colors.

I passed both exams by a couple points the first time, I was quite amazed they let me slide by because I'm still a horrible driver.

I was like 'seriously, I can drive by myself now? You're kidding right?'

and the driving test guy was like, "yea, I can't believe it, you, yes you somehow passed and I'm going to be on the road with you."
