I tend to keep things off my desktop, but when I open my web browser this is what I am looking at:
http://www.joseph-bartlo.net/ya/fmenu.htm
In the time is takes WeatherBug or some other spyware to start up and bog down my system, I've already clicked on a few of those links to see the data I need and then some.
Can use a bit of revising - a few links are bad - but that happens all the time. The web contains an ever-changing list of URL's.

Beware the WeatherBug! Viruses.
Your local weather channel should have an applet for you.

None they all basically act as adware. For good weather go to http://www.aviationweather.gov/ . It's a NOAA website for pilots, but they have really good forcasts.
