I owe these companies money and I am in the process of paying each one of them off. I was just curious after I pay them, how long before it shows paid. I have a few that say they are paid off and closed, but I wasn't sure how long that takes.

call the company you paid off and tell them to remove it from your report,,they give the reporting company the o.k. to take it off. they sort of punish you by leaven it on until you call them and complain. I had same problem and a few calls and was all settled.good luck :)

if you pay them off late, they can still appear on your credit report for up to 7 years.
