If you decide to go with Superman go here:
http://www.halloweencostumes4u.com/prods/rub81105.html
There is a cute newborn Superman costume on there that is $19.00. Not too bad considering what they charge for Halloween costumes now a days.
The only Supergirl costume I found was on the same site but for an older girl.

Our son (4) refuses to change costumes this year so he will stick with tradition and dress as a policeman like Daddy. We're debating dressing our daughter(2) as his prisoner. Of course she'd only agree to it if a princess dress is involved.

Our 2 yr old daughter is going to be a Giraffe, it is the cutest costume ever. Our son will be 3 mths old so probably will just stay with Grandpa and Grandma.

my little one changes her mind from the day after halloween of last year until the month before the current year. This year however she's going as a MN vikings player and her bucket is a greenbay packers helmet with "blood" dripping down the side. We're a huge football family and most of them love the packers, we like to make them mad lol. last year she was a unipeg. lol
my husband and I last year dressed up together. he was wolf man and I was his trainer, including the chain to walk him. lol we had a lot of laughs and he had a lot of manly support lol

oh, that sounds so cute!! I think your idea is great for your babies. My son (11) wants to be a Grim Reaper & I always try to get my daughter (7) to be something "pretty" - this year she wants to be something scary - maybe a vampire or I think she said something ghoulish. If she goes with the vampire I want to try & make her a gorgeous vampire but who knows! I'm going to go as Glinda the Good Witch so she thought maybe she could be the Wicked Witch of the West! have fun with it!! Great question, thanks!!!
