You can get an credit report from each of the 3 major credit agencies each year for free. www.annualcreditreport.com
To find out your credit score, you will need to pay a small fee OR if you have applied for a loan and your credit was checked the agency that pulled your credit(ex mortgage company) will have your score and they may tell you.
fyi- freecreditreport.com charges you a monthly fee because it signs you up for some credit monitoring service

Go to www.annualcreditreport.com or
1-877-322-8228.
Congress passed a law that went into effect last year. You get 1 free credit report a year.
Don't use that FreeCredit Report business. The report is free, but they charge you a subscription of some sort. Not free.
