go to neutrogena's website and see if you can get a free sample and buy a sample size of witch hazel.

try both a week or so apart and see what works best for you

Don't use witch hazel! It's a very strong irritant!

I use Purpose cleanser, because it removes all my makeup without drying my face too much. Don't rely on face washes for ingredients to fight acne...they don't stay on your face long enough to work. Try a toner or cream with salicylic acid and/or benzoyl peroxide. Just make sure it's not full of alcohol or witch hazel, which can irritate your skin and make acne worse.

This may sound bad ,but I use rubbing alcohol to clean my face.I wash it first with Olay cream cleanser then use that and sometimes I will keep applying it and my skin looks great have used it for years.I don't rinse it off either.

My mother also uses it and cause of it her skin is tight and her pores are not noticeable and she has no wrinkles or crows feet and she is almost 41 years old. That is still young, but I have seen women with big pores and wrinkles at that age.

I notice also any pimple I have will be dried up by the next day as well, plus since it kills germs,it helps with keeping acne down.

Some of you probley think wow that is some harsh stuff, hey don't knock it till you try it!

Trust me when I say NOT to use either of those. They will dry out your skin, causing your body to create more oils, resulting in more acne.

I had acne for years and tried EVERYTHING. Nothing worked until I started using the Mary Kay TimeWise skin care line. It not only cleared my acne, but gives my face a healthy glow.

Check it out on my website, or contact me with more questions. I know how you feel because I've been through days where I wouldn't want to leave my house due to embarrassing zits.
