I just got flower tattoos on my ankle (love it), but they keep looking wet with small bubbles of moisture. I have the tattoo salve to put on it. I'm afraid to put socks on (work), for fear it will adhere to it.

your new tatoo is actually a big open wound. It is pussing and trying to seal up and create a scab over the wound. It would be in best interest to put a gauze pad over the tatoo if you are going to wear socks.
Eventually a scab will form and after about a week, the scab will start falling off.

Was this a different tattoo artist that you used or your first one? It could be that you're allergic to the ink. I have several tattoos and my last one has pink in it which I've never had before. It swelled up and wept a lot and was very painful so it appears I'm allergic to that colour ink. Just continue to look after it and it should be fine. I use simple aqueous cream from the pharmacist on mine and it healed up much quicker. If you do get it wet just dab it dry rather than using any rubbing motion as you'll end up taking the scab and maybe some of the tattoo with it.

Yup, it'll look normal in a few more days - give it time. I'm concerned that your tattoo artist didn't warn you about that! Keep it moist with a good unscented lotion, and it'll heal up in no time! And NO do not put socks on! It may adhere to it and remove some of your color! Leave it uncovered until it's completely scab free - again, I can't believe they didn't tell you this at the Tat Shop!

Absolutely normal. Just keep putting the salve on it as the studio instructed, use lots of lotion and stay out of the sun.
If your tattoo is a few days old you can wear socks without fear.

Yes, this is normal.
Keep putting the salve on it so it heals nicely.
Do keep it bare (no socks) ... wear footies if you need socks in shoes.
It should fully heal in 10-14 days and look great!

Your symptoms are normal. I wouldn't wear socks for the reason you described. And also because a friend of mine and I got tattoos at the same time but she had to wear socks and I didn't and her ta too faded dramatically, where mine didn't.

give the salve a rest and let them just rest or breathe a while then when they feel tight and itchy use the salve they will heal faster

Sounds like you're putting too much salve,call your artist if you're concerned. It will bubble and peel,don't pick it
