Ok well i've never been to a bar with karaoke in it and just wanted what people think about them. Are they cheesy???funny??? just different??? tell me your opinion about them please

It's entertaining to a point. Personally I would rather hear the ones just up there having fun and singing terribly than the ones that are really good and know it, thinking they are the next American Idol...that's the annoying part for me.
Karaoke is about having fun, not being the best singer.

I've never performed, but I have watched many many times. It's fun, because people are either making a fool of themselves (which is fun to watch while drinking), and others have you looking up at the stage to see if the real singer is up there singing it! Some will shock you and some will make you vomit, but all in all it's a lot of fun while drinking!

I actually think they're very fun, often under the influence of alcohol (or sometimes without)... but the people who don't sing or think it's stupid can really ruin the mood of a fun karaoke party. If you're gonna go, go with people who enjoy it.

I used to be a karoake dj,so,I might be prejudiced,but I love it. I thought the same thing,but it's really funny,and harmless way to enjoy yourself

i don't really like karoke but i think you should try it! sometimes it's fun though
