Someone keeps taking/breaking things from my desk at work. I have complained to management and despite problems with a certain pair of coworkers, I don't have any proof of who is messing with my things. I lock up everything I possibly can, but things still happen and things disappear. I am looking for a new job, but have not been able to find anything so far.

Can I put a hidden camera somewhere in my cubicle to catch whoever is doing this? It's getting ridiculous.

i would. i used to get my lunch stolen at work, i would buy an extra double cheeseburger everyday from mcdonalds and put my name clearly on it with a permanent marker. I would put all kinds of different stuff in that burger and put it in the fridge at work. i would put spit, a single peice of toilet paper, blood, dirt, snot. and one day i put ink in it from a broken pen and finally caught the guy. my buddy and i would laugh every morning when we found out the 2nd shift person would take it. LOL.... if you put a single peice of toilet paper in it they would never find out. gosh those were the good ole days

somehow i have a feeling that would violate some policy somewhere....i'd bring it up to your boss again and then if you still get no support, take it to Human Resources.

tell them that b/c of it you are looking for another job. HR hates that b/c that looks bad on company turn-over and retention. let HR make you boss pay attention...that's their job!

take care.

Your company should be doing that job !!!
Ask your company to get some cameras installed.
