It is said (by many doctors and the FDA) that it may take 30 days to 6 months before you'll be able to concieve. We're you on an estrogen and progestin releasing OC? Or progestin only? That may have some affect with your period. I would suggest getting an ovulation calculator to see what your best days are. You can buy them over the counter in the family planning sections at local drug and department stores. I also suggest taking a pregnancy test just to see. Keep in mind, there is such thing as a false negative. There is no such thing as a false positive. After using both the pregnancy test and the ovulation calculator and you see no significant results, see your ob/gyn. There may be other underlying causes as to why you're not conceiving or getting your period (i.e. stress, weight loss, etc.) Hope it helps.

I think really you should wait until you have a period before you try to conceive, otherwise trying to finalise a due date can be a bit of a guessing game based on scans! If you think you may already be pregnant then maybe test in a week or so, that would be one month after coming off the pill? If it's negative and still no period then maybe you should see the doctor to check there's no problems.

contrary to what the generally answer seems to be, you are not in great danger if you haven't had a period yet - even if you didn't have one for a long time on the pill. it can take up to two months to get a period after finishing hormone treatment like the pill and sometimes longer.

i'd see a doc if you are worried about it, but otherwise just contine as normal & good luck. x x

I would wait a month and then take it. what kind of pill were on on? It usually takes a few months for the pill to get fully out of your system.

I'm on the shot and they say it could take up to a year before I could get pregnant once I get off.

I would go to the website for the pill you were on and look in a FAQ or even talk to your doctor to see what the usual time frame it is for someone to become pregnant.

Get a cheap home pregnancy test until you can schedule an appointment with your doctor. The doctor will be able to assist you with properly preparing your body for pregnancy. Typically, it is best to stop taking the pill and preparing for pregnancy under the care of your physician.

I would see a doctor. It usually takes about a year for your body to regulate after the pill. You could take a test, but to be safe, go to the doctor.

If you didn't have a period then you didn't ovulate. this means you can't get pregnant. You should go see an OBGYN and see what might be wrong with you. I had your problem and found out I have PCOS. Polycistic Ovarian Syndrome. Its not something to play around with. I suggest a Doc. Appt.

I was that way too after taking the pill. My doctor gave me provera to start my period. Then I had to take clomid to ovulate. Good luck!
