The Sweet, man, the Sweet!

Sure, they ripped off "Jean Genie" to make "Blockbuster," and they ripped off "All Right Now" to make "Stairway to the Stars," but c'mon... "Ballroom Blitz"!

has to be Slade, Sweet were just too sugary. Slade actually managed to break a sweat onstage, Sweet just seemed to prance. Slade provided good solid mid-rock music, sweet just kinda played with the idea. They never seemed to get that raw sound.

Good heavens, I thought I was the only one that remembered them. It's like asking Apples or Oranges. They both rock! Saw Slade live in a tiny auditorium in Fairfax, Va back in'75. Killer show!!
