I would recommend checking Ebay for a used phone. Normally you can find one for a good price. Just make sure it has a clear ESN number before purchasing.

I work for Nextel, and there is no six month anything on the insurance. You can purchase insurance any time in the first 30 days that you own the phone, and it is effective immemiately. I can't imagine the phone breaking from just 'a fall,' but if you don't want to pay full price for an out of contract phone and are not currenlty eligible for an upgrade, then i think your best bet would be to look on ebay and see if you can find a comparable model . You can sometimes get used phones for just a few bucks...Good Luck.

An option you may want to consider is a Boost Mobile phone.. you will have to get it unlocked.. you can get an unlocked boost mobile phone from http://www.yesofcourse.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWCATS&Category=649
they dont list all of thier phones.. so youll have to call them and for a few more bucks they get it unlocked for Nextel service.... Or find a reasonable price boost phone from maybe the swap meet, & if you ask they usuall yhave someone who will unlock them for you.. hope this helped, otherwise let me know.. Ill see what I can do.
