How is the Northern U.S. different from the Southern U.S.?

The difference: climate, accents, Country Borders, two letters (South, North), location, and much more.

The South in the United States, tried to secede in 1861. The North fought a war to hold the Union together and was victorious. Winning is not always the best thing. Now it is plain to see that instead of trying to keep them joined to us, we should have expelled them. The best thing to do now is to wait until the next election and any state still left in the Bush red column after that election should break away, form a new nation and call it Dumbphuckistan

I don't know, the southern states and northern states vary from eachother so much. For example, Texas is different from Louisiana in many ways and they are both in the South. Montana is very different from New York, and they are both in the North. Hence, it is hard to generalize "south" and "north."
