Because we have deemed "ghetto talk" as acceptable was of communication in this society. You will notice that those that are "ghetto" have no real education nor do they want to become educated and enrich their lives.

Being cool will not be so cool when they are 40, 50 and 60 years old.

They will look foolish. The best free thing you can have is a education. Take advantage of it

It's only uneduacated to those who have not been educated. The intellects call it uneducated simply because that's something they don't know. So whose uneducated? think about it. (not a racist answer)

Well depends on who you're referring to, some people speak that way because that's the way they've learned to talk and others do it because they want to be like the people that talk that way. Growing up I leanred a lot of slang and "ghetto" terms that stuck with me, even to this day when I see an old friend I'll just revert back to that form of language. But since I left high school I've worked in very professional environments and have refined my speaking and grammar a LOT and now my brother's tell me I talk like a white girl. Ain't dat sum shiit!

Laziness. Same reason that some people type online and substitute numbers or phonetics for words (like l8r instead of "later" or RU instead of "are you").

One would hope that in the "real world" people know better than to speak in such a manner. How one expresses oneself when around friends can and should differ from how one expresses oneself at a job interview - assuming said individual would like to be hired.

A lot of it started out as code words for certain things and eventually evolved into much more. If you wanted to say something in the presence of others and keep them in the dark, you use slang. You should listen to how clearly people pronounce words and phrases. As long as the person uses them correctly and in context, it's all good. If not, BINGO.

They think it's cool. It's not. And thank you for not saying, "black talk" Because some whites, asians, and others speak like that too. But uh..it's just a matter maybe of separating themselves.

And to Sunny why can't she by a proud caucasian? Blacks say they're proud so what's wrong with being white and proud?

You're right, one of the ones that irritates me the most is "axe" for ask. I just figure they are all "wannabes". They wouldn't like the life much if it was for real, there are good, hard-working people fighting to make a better life and then you get these kids that see the life as cool, and glorify the problems.

Well, it is a trend and considered cool. But I used to be an English major and find myself saying (ain't and did dat already).
Or it could just be the influence of the company you keep or your interests. Since Ive been reading the paper I havent been speaking that way.

Why do a lot of people (all races) write in an uneducated manner? Since you can apparently answer that one, you should be able to answer your own question.

I just call it either uneducated or ignorant jibberish. Some know better and are smarter than they let on though it's hard to believe when they are talking jive talk!
