Unfortunately, some toothpaste has hydrogen peroxide as one of its ingredients and you may have "bleached" out the color. That being said, try using a product called Biz activated bleach for colors. It comes in liquid and powder forms, try to get the harder to find liquid at the discounters in the laundry aisle. It will keep your black shirt from fading and should take out the toothpaste. Pour some directly on the stain, agitate and then add the recommended amount to the wash load along with your detergent. Add a cup of vinegar to the rinse water, too. It will set the color and keep it from fading in future launderings.
Good luck

wait till it dries and hardens and scrape excess off. hopefully the toothpaste wouldn't have bleached the spot so take it to the dry cleaners and see what they can do with it
