The reflection of my left hand is left.
Where are you talking about?

How does it reverse left to right?!?!? When you stand in front of and look at a mirror, look down and your right hand will be on your right side. Now, move it around a bit. The right hand in the mirror will also be moving so how does it reverse anything?

Do you mean like a bathroom mirror? It doesn't reverse anything - you get an exact picture, it just looks reversed left to right because of your perspective. For example, if you put 2 mirrors at a right angle and look at yourself at the angle, it reverses the image left to right and you now see yourself as others see you. If you turn that mirror 90 degrees, you will now see yourself upside-down.

Does that help?

simply put,
a mirror that is perpendicular to the "beam" of light will reflect the "beam" back along the path in which it came from.

so lets say u look at the mirror and draw a circle on r LEFT arm.
the circle light "beam" will hit the mirror and return back to its original position, thus u always see the circle on r left side both in the mirror and when u look at r left arm.

however if u where to walk over to the mirror and turn around and walk back u rotate your left arm 180degrees,
if u now get a viewer to to stand at your original position and ask them to tell u where the circle is they will say it is to there RIGHT side

sum up:
the mirror is reflecting the circle back in the direction it arrived,
but u are rotating the circle 180degrees when u turn around

Because it is flat. If you look at the back of a spoon (which you can think of as a convex mirror) the image is upside down.

When you look at something, your eyes see it backwards so your brain compensates by fliping it left and right. The mirror does NOT flip the image you see left and right CORRECTLY but your brain still flips it, voila.

It does. Just lie on your side and look into a mirror.

Your eyes are side by side.
