My friend is also one of the world's biggest fans! She quotes the films constantly, and it can get annoying.
Anyway, I would give 'The Black Pearl' 9/10 because it is generally absolutely fantastic, but there are ways that any film could be improved. Some depth, perhaps?
'Dead Man's Chest' is also very good, but it has very few new jokes and no plot to speak of. And the ending was rubbish. It wasn't a cliffhanger, it just didn't end. On the other hand, I love Jack Sparrow's painted eyes at the beginning! 8/10.

Black Pearl 9/10. Good fun enjoyable film, not much to pick holes in it with.
Dead Mans Chest 5/10. Depp good as you would expect. Knightley quite poor, she's involved alot but has nothing to do. Bloom, ok performance. Over used CGI.
Got this same feeling after seeing the Matrix sequels, but Pirates are no way as bad as them. Think the success of the first film might have raised my expectations little too much. Will still and go and see the 3rd instalment.

Black Pearl was better than Dead Man's Chest. The first one was funnier. I say the first one was 9/10 and the second one was 7/10.

I give the first a strong 9 and the second a strong 8 and those are excellent rating coming from me because most films in my book are about a 4 or 5.
I got the Pirate fever somthing awful! Savvy?

i would give Dead man's chest 9/10 because it was really good and i would give Curse of the black pearl 10/10 because it was really good. curse of the black pearl is a bit better than dead man's chest.

I give it a seven. I was bored through most of it but Depp was talented and Nightly annoying. Does she ever not push out her lips and try to be overly sexy? Bloom was very dry as to be expected. The action scenes were incredibly overdone and fake. All in all it was a little entertaining. I am going to see the next one. The ending was really good. I'll give it that. I never exspected that guy to come back. I liked the first one a WHOLE LOT more.

Well, you certainly are unbiased, aren't you?
"Curse" gets at least a strong 8.
"Dead" is a flat 4.
Too many little sub-plots and not enough substance in PC2.
And if you really, REALLY look at this latest flick, all it really is, is a promotion for next years' "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End"

10/10 for the first one cus it is so funny and entertaining!! it is the kind of film that you can watch more than once.
8/10 for the second one cus i dont think you could watch it as many times as the first one without getting bored of it!! its too long cus if you had it on DVD you would have to watch the third one after it otherwise its like watching half a film!!!
