is there anything that you would be willing to go to war and fight for?
I have seen how things in this country have gone down hill and the young people of today dont seem to be willing to do anything for their country.
please tell me I am wrong in this, but I feel if the stuff hits the fan, the young people of america would just take the easy way and give up.

My husband is in the Army and is proudly serving our country!!
I tried to join when I turned 18 (I am 21 now) but I am half deaf and couldn't get a waiver.
Not all young people give up on our country!

The young people of america are the ones that are fighting the war right now. Our military is mostly made up of 18-20 somethings as we speak.
So you are wrong.

I am irish, first of all, not that it makes a difference, but us not warring etc has probably an effect on us. A good one. There is no way that i would even consider joining the defence forces, let alone going to war. its hateful and cruel and nasty. no matter what reason, there has to be better ways of settling things. unless it was absolute necessity that i go to war, i would completley refuse.

I would love to say that I would be willing to fight for this country that has given us so much... but, I cannot see myself lifting a gun and actually taking someone's life. I could never do that. I wouldn't be able to live with myself.

Human rights and peoples right to choose how they live. And animal rights. Animals don't have a voice. I'm sure if they did they would be begging for intervention. They need our help.

I would be willing to go to war.. for MY country.. but only IF the leaders wanted to fight for MY country. Right now they just want to blindly fight for their egos and pocketbooks..
If this was the 1940s I wouldn't hesitate sighning up.. but it isn't..

If it's about war, no I wouldn't fight for this country. If you have the balls to start a war over nothing, you should have the balls to fight it yourself. I 'd rather fight against the forces of evil within our goverment.

i wont go 4 war though but fight 4 rascism,, women and men rights, children, rights, discrimination, things like that!

i love the fact that someone will go to war for jesus. apparently they missed the service that said love one another. but anyway nothing is worth killing anyone over
