Well, it's normal to have a different smell than normal, which some women think is unpleasant. If it's strong and if it lasts for more than a day or two (or is accompanied by itching, burning, swelling, unusual discharge) then you need to see a doctor because you might have an infection, but if it's just a strange smell for a short amount of time with no other symptoms, then, yes, that's normal.

**Edit** Douching can lead to yeast infections and other issues. Never use a douche unless it has been prescribed to you by a physician. Unless a doctor tells you to use a specific product, there's never any reason to wash your vagina with anything but water, and your vulva can be cleaned with simply water and mild soap..

There are all kinds of bad odors. Sometimes there is a slightly fishy or coppery smell. It's normal. It should go away in a day or two. Don't douche unless your doctor tells you to. Your body has a natural enzyme in your vagina that will get rid of any stray cells. Too much douching will destroy the enzyme and you'll be prone to more yeast infections and dryness.

yes very normal, but if it's too foul, you might want to see a doctor. I little smell is totally normal. I use baby powder in my underwear. You can also carry those feminine wipes with you in your purse.

Douche isn't alway a good solution. It can cause yeast infections and lead to pelvic inflammatory disease. You can use it some, but not too much. Only when absolutely necessary. Not every single month.

Cleanliness is of the utmost importance. They do make special douche products for post-menstruation. Try one.
