Yes they can! I have 3 hermet crabs and they live together.

Yeah they can i had like 6 hermet crabs and they were all fine together!

Yes in fact it is a MUST!

In the wild hermit crabs live in colonies of 100 and more.. so normally the best is 3 and up as far as numbers.
Having just one hermit crab is actually cruel since they thrive and live longer, healthier and happier lives with at least a tank mate or two.
