I just finished wathcing Zidane's interview on the french television.

Few thinks are clear:

- He pulled his jersey (big deal!)
- Zidane told him that he can have it after the game (big deal!)
- Materazzi insulted his siter and than his mother (dying in a hospital in Marseille!) using "very hard words". He didn't say which words...(bittch, terrorist, ???)
- He said it not once but several times...after the third time he couldn't take it anymore and he "snaped"...
- He did not confirm if the word "terrorist" was used or not (he was not asked this question by the TV guy!)
- He also said that he would give more details to the FIFA...
- It pretty much confirms what the British newspapers are claiming about insults on his sister and mother.

What would you have done if your mother was dying in a hospital and someone insults her using "very hard words"? Would you let it go by you one time, two times and than snap or would you walk away from it? Personally, I would snap, sorry..

Reuters is not accurate! I recorded the interview and played it 4 times! He only said that Materazzi used "very hard words" but he DIDN'T say which words! It doesn't exclude "terrorist", he said that he will give more details to the FIFA investigation team.

I'm not a violent person...but if what was said and done to Zidane was done to me...it's hard to keep one's cool under such circumstances...and if anybody has ANY sense of right/wrong..and sensitivity in their body..then they would have done the exact same thing as Zidane...or even more..I know I would have!!!

I think he could just let it go, it was not worth loosing temper in a moment like that one. I bet Materazzi wasn't the first soccer player who did that to Zidane in his long carrier.

I would snap also.

Zidane is a professional soccer player but also a human being. Materazzi was wrong, he should receive a punishment for that.

Oh, then, I would like do the same thing... Now I get the point. Fine, I say, if somebody's calling me a terrorist, that's f*cking enough, but insulting my mother lying to die... I would kill this guy! It's very sad for Zidane... Everybody thought he's the bad ***, but no! I understand his point.

I would have snapped. What Zidane did would have looked very nice and mild mannered compared to what I would have done to him. Can you imagine how bad that must have hurt Zizou to have his mother insulted when he knew that she was lying in a hosptial bed back in France? I really don't blame him for what he did.

I would let it go, keep playing, win the cup, then beat Materazzi about the head with it....but that's just me.

If it was me I would have either kicked the sh*t out of him or wait until after the game and then go kick the **** out of him OR go put a ignition switched bomb so that when he turns the car on the rear blows up and then he will get seriously injured and burns also! anything that is violent enough!

I would have said: "Whatev!" And then I would have cunningly reflected the sun in my bald head and set Materazzi's shirt on fiiiiiire.

"NOW you are most definitely not getting my shirt!"
