I was rooting for Brasil, Argentina, Germany and since I am Italian, MY Italy, too...Gosh I am excited they won! EVERY team in the world deserves they chance to win...no matter if it takes them about six years to prepare!

Of course I wanted Japan to win, but they aren't experienced enough I say... After that I thought Brazil would make it, but surprisingly not! You had to expect the unexpected... When the half of my teams were gone, I was neutral for a while. But I saw those HOT Italian dudes scoring all the time and I said to myself... Why not!? I'm not for France because of Thierry Henry's two goals, they eliminated South Korea after Japan was gone.

I´m not upset about Italy winning the World Cup, although I root for Brazil. The Italians were, indeed, the best team.
The Italian players did their best and never gave up, always trying to win. They weren't afraid of playing. Italy had energy to knock out the opponents. Italy got a penalty kick against Australia when everybody believed the game would be sent into extra time, controlled their nerves against Germany and all their fans, getting an incredible 2-0 victory in extra time, and did the best in the Final, winning in the penalty shootout, what had never happened for the Italians in a World Cup. So, they overcame obstacles and, because of that, they are the champions.
I wish Brazil had the energy that Italy had...

I did...they played some great soccer especially in the game against Germany...they deserved to win. Anyone who complains about Italy winning is just green with envy because they were rooting for the own team.

Well I was foolishly optimistic by rooting for the USA; but, versus France, it was an easy decision to root for Italy. Down with France.

At first I wanted germany to win,but they lost.so at the world cup I pulled for Italy and Im glad they beet france!

I was neither yay or nay, but I am always impressed by a team which gains momentum throughout a tournament and goes on to win (just like Italy in 1982). I was also happy for the likes of Buffon, Cannavarro, Del Piero and Marcello Lippi, who had been the leading lights of a generation of Italian football.
