Doesn't always happen. I'm a big girl and more than once a skinny friend's bf will check me out, even in front of her. That's sad because the guy is with someone who conforms to stereotype, meanwhile he's thinking of all those yummy curves! Not to mention it's not fair for the girl either... which is why women have to stick together and not steal another's bf.

It's not about what size you are but your attitude. I notice a lot of skinny girls get passed up at bars for the heavier ones because they aren't hung up on looks and don't act as prissy.
It's also a matter of personal preference. I'm a big boy and I prefer bigger women. My fiancee is a big woman and I love her to death.

You know what, This is a great question. It would really seem like they do. Some guys are just like that. But it goes back to the old you have to find the guy that likes you for who you are. And I know there has to be some of them out there that aren't all obsessed with having a beutiful thin girl with them all the time. Just wait and show people the real you and you'll met people because of your confidence!

I guess everyone in this world grows up to "stereotype" individuals like they were taught to do so. I personally say: If the culture we are in isn't something I want to follow, I want to be strong enough to stand my ground and not buy it. It is hard to do so, but if you sure know what you want out of life, being able to create your own culture is the rewarding price we can obtain from believing in ourselves....now, to make this a little more clear to your understanding... never understimate your self...love comes to those who are patient and know what they want or seek into a relationship...dont rush it...skin color, size, or species dont necessarily matter...wait for your right time...and dont hesitate to move out of the way....SOMETIMES you can judge those around you by their looks, and sometimes their attitudes...take a minute to realize that what your are doing is not right and then try to find better ways to start something different in your own life....I dont know if I am making sense at this point...but I know that LOVE is meant to be shared and experienced by every living soul in this planet....and I mean it!

Society puts pressure on men to think that they only want to be with "model" types. Unfortunately for them that is not what most American women look like. The average American woman wears a size 14, not a size 2.

All these answers about media tricking men. Look at it from our point of view. How come fat MEN get passed up? Huh? Is it because society tells women to like buff men, or just because someone who keeps themself fit is natually more attractive? Why do women overlook men who are mentally retarded? Is it because society tells them so? Women are SO shallow!!

There is a difference between guys and men. Guys are superficial and shallow, they want what looks the best. Men are realists who know how to see beauty in all things.

i suppose media influence. im not overweight and ive been told have a great figure but a lot of flat no curve girls get the attention i dont no why it sucks.. if anything curvy girls are more femine and i personally think have more desirable figures ... boys are stupid
