So, the theater should lose money because you didn't care for a particular film? What a freeloader.
The only reason they should ever refund your ticket price is if there were other patrons disrupting your viewing experience and the staff on duty wasn't doing anything about it.
Also, if you chose to sit through the entire movie in spite of rowdy 13 year olds bothering you then that was the decision you made. If they were really "bothering" you then you should have complained in the middle of the movie or left and asked for a refund.

It depends on the situation. If you were just bored of the movie or if you were thrown out then no, you can't get a refund. Now I got a refund once because the film actually ripped in the middle of the movie, that sucked! For the most part you have to be in a pretty extreme situation to get your money back.

Three times... the first time we saw Battlefield Earth and one of the employees was explaining the movie to his family in Spanish the whole time. The second time an employee told us the ending of Godzilla while we were waiting in line to see the movie. The last time, Men in Black 2 skipped the whole scene at the train station. That time was the hardest since we had to get the manager go back in the theater and watch that part of the movie. Nobody else had complained.

I didn't know you could get a refund. The only time I've walked out of a movie was when I took a girlfriend to see Flash Gordon. Didn't realize it was Flesh Gordon, man was I ever embarrassed. First date and I accidental took her to a porno flick.

yes, I know. If the movie really sucks you can leave and get either a refund or free tickets to another movie.

It depends on how long you stay for the movie you're watching, I used to work in a movie theater when I was in high school.
But yeah, I walked out on the first Scary Movie...it was so dumb!!

yeah. I walked out on Faces Of Death back in the day. I was pissed off that people would smash a real monkey's head in. My friends tried to stop me, but I kept going...

But that is why I choose my films with a great deal of care.
That way, I'm never disappointed.
