I hear alot of white people, and diff other races use that word when referring to something negative, or tacky, I just wanna understand how you all can say it, and yall never been in the ghetto to refer something as being ghetto.

you dont have to know what ghetto talk and dress by going to the "ghetto"!!! everyone is highly knowlegeable of this just by listening to the hip hop stuff and wacthing mtv. baggy pants didnt come from some church group,and rapping about doing a drive by or hitting up "west side" sure didnt either...where else did it come from? the church of ladder day saints??? dont think so
and this isnt a racial answer,just the truth. anything i just wrote is the truth not an oppinion!

no longer all "white human beings" have by no skill been to the ghetto. additionally, the term "ghetto" whilst used as you're implying it somewhat is an adjective...or a descriptive observe for some thing. Granted, there may be various stereotypes that are no longer genuine of "the ghetto", yet you are able to blame television, video clips, information, etc. for others' perceptions of it.

I never said that before. I have been to the ghettos in the Bronx, Manhattan, Queens. Never had an issue, except in Brooklyn...

good question some think if u dont act the way they do and talk the way they do {proper}they refer 2 u as "GHETTO" and probably neva been there a day in their lyfe

Good question, i use to say it when i was a teenager because everyone else was but i stopped a long time ago. so i guess people say that to be cool or cuz other people do. Yeah, we do stupid things and i don't know why.
