Change the memory sticks.....how many DIMM slots do you have and what are the values of the sticks you have in there now? How old is the system?

Wow, yeah you can, but why not go for the gusto and get 512? If you only want 128, or want 512, make sure you get 2 memory sticks of the same number. Like two 64mb memory sticks. Or 256 x 2 for the 512. If you have an older computer use the sdram memory not the ddr sdram. Good pricing at : ( but once at the store look for cheaper brands, they work as well), slide open the side panel (if it's HP, if not take it to a store to get it open and insert memory into slots)

first of all it should be 64, not 56. It is quite possible that you are using shared memory and 8m is being used for your video memory. You can either buy another 64M stick or pull your old one out and buy a 128. Make sure you match what your system needs.
