I think that it could poke him in the eye was a really good answer. I mean come on it was a reaction/reflex. That is fine but doesn't explain what he has to fear. To say it could hit him in the eye explains what he has to fear. Proably the reason he ducks. Must be why they aim at the head. After all why throw the gun at him when you are out of bullets?

Don't be silly. That only happened on the old t.v. show. The actor could stand there as the bad guy shot balnks, but had to duck or the prop gun would have bruised his noggin. Wouldn't look good for Superman to have a lump on his head, would it?
