There will be:
- More wireless devices that people will wear like glasses
- Rounder, smaller, higher MPG cars and fewer SUVs
- More products in stores from India and China
- Paper clothes
- Widespread plant and animal cloning for various purposes
- Rap music long gone...
- A Democrat in the White House
The rest will be pretty much the same :-)

could be real different:
The United States could be wiped off the map by a nuclear weapon from Russia, because we ticked off Russia for going into Iran. Israel could get into a fierce combat with Syria because of Hamas, and eventually turn Syria into a wasteland by nuking them. North Korea would take over South Korea by the threat of Nuclear war.
And as soon as the United States is gone. China could go into Taiwan and would, in turn, control the world market. then, on top of that, India could find out that the cause of the attacks yesterday was from a terrorist organization based in Pakistan, and since they are already bitter enemies they would be engulfed into nuclear war.
OR,
Life could be pretty much the same.

Probably almost the same. People used to try and predict the future and imagined in 1980, for example, that we would have space cars and would live on the moon. I think the dreams that people have drive them to come up with predictions of the future. I'm afraid of what the gas prices will be - maybe by then we'll be using something common to propel our cars around - like corn oil or water.

That is only 6 years away. You must be pretty young to ask a question like this. You should have asked what life might be like in the year 2112. That could stir some conversation.

About the same as it is today. War, war, war. Water will be used as a fuel. Oil companies will be down sized. Very few vehicles will be sold new that still use oil based gas.

Ever heard "In the Year 2525"??? Sure it's a little farther in the future, but as far as Zager and Evans were concerned, we'd all be sucking on dehydrated food pills and have robot microchips in our brains by 2000 anyway. terrible song. NEVER EVER listen to it.
A majority of the country will have died in the war, no thanks 2 Bush. . .
That's about it. . .
