On my wedding day they all behaved like animals and my mother in law spoke badly about me in from of my sister's husband who later told me. I thought my mother in law and I had a great relationship but I was told she talks behind everyones back. My husband's brother was the best man and didn't even give us a card.

My mother-in-law planned my husband's sister's wedding also to be celebrated on our day. I had no idea until that day. My sister-in-law and her husband renewed their vows after our ceremony was completed, she ordered another cake and set it next to ours. It was horrible!! There were two wedding songs, two of everything. She was being cheap and decided without telling us that she's "going to kill two birds with one stone"

I too thought that I had a great relationship with my mother-in-law, but after she did that I didn't know what to think. Mine talks about everyone (including her own children) behind their backs.

We still have a good relationship--I stay away as much as possible!

My in-laws have done some pretty nasty things to me, it is hard to choose the worst. I will go with......I had mentioned to my husbands step mother that I really wanted to take a trip to Ecuador, a few days later my husband gets a call from his oldest sister and his Real mother is planning a trip and they were thinking of going with the whole family. I thought this was fantastic I was so excited! A few days later his mother calls and says to him it would be best If only him and my 3 kids go and I stay home because it would be cheaper....Meanwhile she paid for All her kids, their spouses, and all her grandchildren . That would of been 8 adults, including her, minus me. and 10 grandchildren...but my one ticket was too much. I was heartbroken and shocked! Needless to say Hubby told his mother if his WHOLE family was not invited then he and the kids would not be going. BTW They all went on their trip together and she even rented a bus to take the scenic route because the airport is about 2 hours away. Couldn't afford my one ticket hmmmmmmm?

My mother in law still talks to my husbands ex girlfriend even when we were living at her house she would be on the phone with her. She also told me it was my fault that i had a miscarriage on the day i came from the hospital and she always tells my husband that we should just get a divorce that there are no chances between us. According to my husband she's just trying to help. Yeah right

Mine future in-laws buy me things from the Dollar Store. Tell me I can't cook, I can't keep a clean house and how i should arrange everything for their liking, and how I shouldn't be dating her son. She drops by our house unannounced and talks about me behind my back calling me all kinds of names. She doesn't remember what gifts I bought for her, insults my pets, and honestly I want nothing in my life to do with her.

She called the police on me at 7:00 AM when it was my day off. Had me dragged from my bed because I talked bad about her on Myspace! Sheesh.
I can't believe she is related to my fiance.

When hubby and I were married for just under a year he decided to join the navy.

We went to his parents house to let them know he would be leaving soon for boot camp.

His dad was hootin' and hollerin' and obviously proud of the decision my husband had made.

Then he stops mid celebration. Gets a concerned look on his face. Then tells my hubby that he needs to try to get stationed in Korea. He then goes on to say... "It's been a while since I've been but I know I can hook you up with some GREAT whorehouses!"

I said I was concerned for him to be leaving so soon after we marrried and that I didnt need him talking like that. I was told it was FIL's house and if I didnt like it I could leave. I left!

Oh man! There are too many things to pull from here..lol

I have 5 children. During all pregnancies except the 5th one, my father in law would wait until I was in like my 6-7th month along and mention how "I dont know why (my hubby) broke up with (his ex girlfriend). She was pretty. I really liked her!"
My 5th pregnancy I stayed away from FIL.

MIL has threatened to have me arrested 2 times because my husband didnt call and keep in contact with her on a regular basis. She said she would call the sheriff's office and tell them I was neglecting my children (just to force his hand to call her!)

I have to share this..it got so bad (we lived 3 houses around the corner from inlaws..)
We packed up and moved and didnt let them know for 3 months. We intentionally latched our backdoor screen so it would look like someone was in the house. We had asked them to call before visiting, which they never did. So hubby left the phone and power (for answering machine) on for the 3 months. So this woman went over to our EMPTY house for 3 months banging on our doors until her knarled knuckles bled! That was the 2nd time she threatened to call the sheriff(to my mom) on me and tell him that I was leaving the kids in the house alone. And that she KNEW we were in the house avoiding answering her knocks. (mind you the whole house was empty and we had been living with my mom for 3 full months and noone was in the house!) Weren't we bad??? It got the message across!

For all you guys out there who can relate... 9 years ago my MIL decided that it would be better for her to move in with us( after her husband passed away) ...that's the worst thing she's ever done to me (us). Like trying to live with a disease that you have been living with in denial for the 9 years

that's why my avatar looks so sad!

My husband's birthday is days from mine. My in-laws gave him a card and money - they sent my card three days late and gave me expired grocery coupons. At least they sent a card...
