For those of us who were in our early teens back in the 80's and he was Michael Knight -the Knightrider he was an icon...cool guy with a cool car.. then it all kinda got very cliched and tacky with Baywatch..and he lost favour (or we grew up ) then somehow, he became trendy/iconic again and I've yet to find out why. I'm assuming the whole 'Hoff is a legend" thing is one big cheesy joke that has backfired spectacularly and given him a whole new army of fans. My son thought he was hilarous in the Spongebob Movie!

I think it's just nostalgia from his Knight Rider days. That show was huge in the eighties. And then of course, his being the star of the world's most popular show (baywatch) for about a decade can't hurt his popularity either.

he is nasty . . . don't know what the fascination is . . . anyone who still talks into his watch to car that hasn't existed since the show ended, needs psychiatric help . . . he isn't bad as a judge tho on America's Got Talent . . . but no way is he cute . .

I don't know...he just thinks that he is still a stud! He was cute back in the KnightRider days but now he is just an old guy!
