Dear Friend "ammi n" - I truly appreciate your genuine concern (and in some cases might even agree with your pragmatic assessment), but please keep in mind: Not everyone who explores his/her being and imagination beyond the box needs to see a doctor (in the box).

A total complete calm, like there's no emotion in the world anymore. You see nothing, feel nothing, care about nothing. You have transcended what humanity is.

Nagarjuna... Existence Is, Existence is not, Existence is and is not, Existence neither is nor is not.
Its a tetralemma an Indian form of logic. Used in this case to invalidate both the existence and non-existence of reality. So, I put forward that illusion is not of being, nor of nothingness, and not transcendence or beyond.

for most people, it sounds like a hippie who smokes marijane before he ask this question. ( i pity those who stereotypes).
For me, this has got to do with meditation, or an astral projection where your spirit leaves your body and transcend beyond human being comprehension.
i also find this sentence more of seeking peace and tranquility of oneself. we have to realise that our souls are guiding our being (physical) in this life. when we feel sense of nothingness, that is when our soul is hungry and as we fill that hunger, we would transcend or evolve unto the beyond.
so it is up to us as how we handle our soul in this life before it transcend unto the next.

Nihilism. The complete negation of existence...you've been reading Sartre, no?! Though admirable, that statement is quite the contradiction. One that seems to be the basis of all human existance; the ultimate "yes" in our lives. To answer your question, what comes to my mind when reading that sentence is "unselfconsciousness"!
