One incident does not prompt a player like Zidane to headbutt an opponent, especially in a match like the World Cup final. Whatever happened, the Italian player must've gotten on his nerves to point that he broke down like that. If you look at the replay, the Italian player was holding him seconds before the headbutt. It must've gone on the whole match. Zidane is a 3 time FIFA world player of the year. Don't you think he'd know better?

That is really wrong if they take the Golden Ball from Zidane!
Zinedine Zidane is a great player and deserves that award, despite the red card incident.

sure, Materazzi did say that Zidane deserved the award because he became the perfect on the pitch. He received it for what he did on the pitch," Materazzi suggested in an interview with Gazzetta dello recreation printed Thursday. "He became the perfect." Materazzi became the single which became headbutted, if he feels that Zidane might want to keep the golden ball, I dont see who can disagree.

They have no right to do that. Only association of journalist can revoke it. FIFA just don't know what to do that's all. They understand that he is THE PLAYER. He is noble, smart and intelligent. Even if they do he'll always remain the hero. He'll always be an example for kids.
Just watch his interview to channel+ (even though he speaks french) he proved that he's THE PLAYER and THE MAN!!!

I hope they don't. If they do that, I will definitely protest. They gave him the Golden Ball AFTER his major foul. If they reverse that decision after the fact, then they should also reverse their decision to give Italy a penalty during the Italy vs Australia match.

Yes, I heard that, but I hope it will never happen! Zizou deserves the Golden Ball more than anyone...Although they will take it away from him, for everyone he will still remain the WINNER!

No...whatever happened at the finals does not discount his apparent amazing skills and abilities as a soccer player...FIFA should not be so cruel...
