what are the real symptoms for migrane?

I get this thing called an "aura" just before a migrane hits. For me it's a jagged line of prismatic colors that moves from my peripheral vision of my left eye, across the middle to the peripheral of my right eye... eventually I can't see much except that squiggly line (sort of like when someone takes a flash picture of you and all you can see is that damnable white spot everywhere you look).

Then I get the headache where every eye movement sends searing pain through my head.

I usually go someplace quiet and dark and just try to relax utnil it's passed.

when someone turns on a light and it hurts so bad you want to stab them in the head, you've got a migrane. When someone tip-toes through the room and they're being too loud, you've got a migrane. When you move your eyes and your brain is doing backflips...you've got a migrane.
