Apparently you are not a Christian nor have ever read the Bible and the last book in the Bible, called "The Revelation". I say that kindly...and not to insult you by any means. I know exactly how the world will eventually "end"...approximately "when" it will "end"...and "how" it will "end". All of these questions that you present, are excellent and honest questions and therefore "deserve" an honest answer. But to answer your questions truthfully and thoroughly, requires far more space than whats' available here. So here's my best answer: Pick up a Bible...A "King James Version" (which has been around for about 400 years...translated from the original languages in 1611 AD), and simply READ the last book in that Bible (the book of the Revelation)...and you will obtain reliable and truthful ANSWERS to each and every one of your answers...and you will also be very SURPRISED as to how well it will interest you. There, is where you will find the answers to your questions. You asked honest questions...and there you will find honest answers my friend...and answers that you will, in time, discover to be TRUE.

we may well end before the world does. whether we can evolve into an existence free of corporeal constraints is an interesting and open question

in about 4 to 5 billion years, the sun will go into its death throes evaporating the earth. i suspect the evolution question will have been finally resolved one way or another by then.
