If the Mexicans need one so do they!

I don't think it will really make a difference. Canadians have been coming and going for years by use of the bridges ( St. Catherines, Rainbow, etc.) near the Niagra Falls. Canadians usually don't do anyhting bad when they come in the States. If it were up to me, I would have it that Mexicans and maybe some of the people in Europe, have to have a passport to come in the States. For security and health reasons of course.

Silly, but what else can we expect from the U.S? On the good side, it will get more people with passports so they don't have to do rush renewals every time they decide to go to Europe or on holiday. And you know what? We always knew NAFTA was worthless, and it is after all, a different country. We just need to make sure all Americans need a passport to get into Canada as well.

It's certainly a drag, but I guess it's inevitable with all the people trying to sneak illegally into the States. I don't mean Canadians, why would we want to do that-- but there are illegals who go through Canada to get to the states. Then there are the terrorists on both sides of the border. Too bad they are making everything harder for the rest of us.

Yea and vice versa. I don't know - what's the big deal? People have been traveling between the two forever and there's never been a problem before. We don't have illegal Canadians here taking over - they just visit - like we do there. It's stupid in my opinion. I don't think Al Queda is going to go through Canada to get here. Just my opinion.

I'm in Canada and I think it's fair both ways. Unless the person has a duel citizenship, then they should need a passport. They are two different countries after-all.

I don't have a problem with Canadians coming and going. Funny how Mexico now requires U.S. citizens to now have passports, yet criticize our government for enforcing our borders against illegals!

It's not a big deal, but when you travel between the US and Canada a few times a week (like i do), you'll fill your passport pretty quick.

Passports are a good idea, because the terrorist crossing the canadian border won't have them. That way we will know who the terrorists are that are trying to sneak into the country!!!

It will be just like when US citizens need one to go to Canada. That goes into effect the end of this year I believe.
