Rather Large... i don't know exact measurements but i'm guessing about 2.5 meters by 2 meters or larger!
I have closet and chest of drawers
my bed is a bunk bed with a desk underneath so no chucking things there!

i think you should get some bins, shelves, and ALOT of labels! can u give us a little bit more info on the room, like the size

Organize aka cleaning & keeping it neat:
Find a place for everything & always put everything in its place.
Don't be a pack rat! If it's creating clutter get rid of it! OR If it means something to you display it nicely.
Shelving, Bookcases are good places to display items.
Cute Cabinets or Tables with drawers hide overflow that you just can't bare to get rid of. There are some great storage bins on wheels that are thin enough to slide under your bed...this is a great way for organizing items & your room looks uncluttered cause no one can see the stuff.
A cluttered room is a clutterd mind =)

The way that I've learned with my kids' rooms is to get rid of everything that is extra clutter or not necessary. Then try to store every item where it's used. (If you get dressed by the closet, clothes go there, and also the hamper; bedding should go under or in a container by the bed...and so on)

Alphabetically is one option. It may make more sense to organize by functionality though. Sometimes the best way to organize a room is to shove everything into the closet and shut the closet door. Good luck!

Start with each section of your room, "where should i put these bookshelves?" then "how should i make my bed?" then "where should i move this computer desk?" etc etc... start from the small things. without realizing,you'll be organizing your room that shines the real you instead of how other people wants it to be.
