Hopefully, most people think theirs are the best (I'd say everyone, but I don't think North Koreans for example should until they overthrow Kim Jung Il). I think the US is the greatest nation in the land, personally.

USA, because I, like most people, am ethnocentristic and it is hard for me to imagine living anywhere else. What I love about my country is it's freedoms, OPPORTUNITIES, diversity of people, diversity of natural landscapes from state to state, and it's strength.
I do admit, though, that would love to visit Europe and see all of it's beauty, culture, art, and history, but I don't envision it as a particularly safe continent to live on because of it's proximity to the middle east.
Australia might be cool, I'd have to learn more about it.
I also hear that South America is gorgeous, but only an elite few have a rich lifestyle over there, and most are poor.
USA for sure.

This is almost an impossible question to answer, there is no best country, all countries have major problems.
But i would say the best country is Antarctica. why?
because people haven't messed it up with all this wicked stuff that so encompasses the world right now.

I would have to say the United Kingdom, even though I'm from the US. The "System" in the UK seems better prepared than in the US. UK also has a lot of "US-like" laws while being more libral than the US in some cases and more hard core on things they need to be hard core about. The US is to cought up in the being the "World Power" to worry about its people, UK is not.
Just my opinion.

Canada without a doubt!!! It's free, free health care for all, wide open spaces,4 seasons with the colours of the trees in the fall, breathtaking, multicultural without the violence, peace loving people that generally get along without incident, beautiful lakes and streams, lots of wildlife and opportunities for everyone to be happy and earn a living doing whatever they want. Crime rates very low,Toronto is the largest city,4 million people had 80 murders last year, that's incredibly safe for a city that big.........................

The best country in the world? I can't decide; there are too many fallible human beings running them all.

Belgium. Great health care system. Friendly people. Good benefits at the jobs. Great vacation plans at work. You have the mountains and the sea. In between great landscapes and ancient towns. Great chocolate, food, and beer.
