I really don't understand why you want to waste your time and energy on the past. Clean yourself up. Get out there and meet new people. Trust me on this, us men can sense that you are still thinking about your ex and therefor will back out. Dont do this to yourself. Besides, you should be happy cause you now have a chance to find someone better. Someone that actually appreciate you more than your ex. He is an ex for reason, right ?
