With any project of this size, there will be some shoddiness.

The concept is good, but the execution is the telling factor.

certain, that's that undesirable. Blame it on the large Dig. It replaced into meant to open up extra lanes so as that there should be a lot less site visitors jams, notwithstanding the issue is they are ultimate each thing purely to fix the large Dig's defective structure. there is also the parking areas. in case you stay in the city, you want stickers that facilitates you to park in the section the position you stay. difficulty is that there are too many autos and in no way adequate areas for parking, so after 10 or 11 pm, it turns into very just about not achieveable to hit upon a parking spot. In Brookline, that's even worse. you won't be able to even park on the line at evening. There are also distinct a million-way streets, so once you're making a incorrect turn, good success hunting for the position you want to go. you should actually go any opposite direction and nevertheless imagine that you're moving into the right route. enable's not ignore that the Celtics and red Sox make their living house in Boston, so the freeways are continually crowded even as the Celtics and BoSox are on the city. Fenway is close to residential section, so between 6 am and 10 pm, travellers can park particularly parts, and in case you stay close to Fenway, good success attempting to hit upon a niche to park.

If there was no corruption in Mass. it would not be a mistake. However Mass, is about the most politically corrupt states in the USA. Inept friends get the contracts and short cut the jobs. The good people who know how to construct highways live elsewhere than Boston.

It was actuallty a 40 foot long cement ceiling "tile," as they're calling it, that fell. And it not only damaged a car but killed the passenger in it. And don't forget the flooding and water leaks. The whole thing should be re-named "The Big Fiasco." Another $14 billion down the drain due to mismanaged govt. projects.

It killed a lady. This was a big boondoggle. The whole reason was because Boston had an ugly highway running into the center of town. They wanted to move it underground to have more land to build and for more green space.

The project was filled with corruption. and reports of low grade cement. 15 billion dollars that could have been used to feed the poor.

Yes.
A really BIG and COSTLY mistake.
It's almost as if it were cursed from the start.
Cost over-runs and construction flaws.
One would think that if we can send a person to the moon, we could build a tunnel.
One would think...but then, we're talking about a union operation in the worst sense of the word.
