I've got a question: Why are you so concerned about being the biggest southerner online? It seems like all of your questions are about being a southerner. You're not the only one chick! Oklahoma isn't even the most southern state in the US. So why are you so hung over on this country thing. I am from Florida and consider myself a Southerner. And don't dare say Florida isn't southern because have you looked at a map lately? And the people are even more country than you think. It isn't just all bikini/hollywood what ever you said before.

I would consider a redneck to be... me.
Actually, I think that it is a person who is devoted and loves country music, hunting, farming, fishing, tobacco (some people - not trying to promote it or anything), getting down and dirty (the dirt type of dirty), not being afraid to get some sun doing real hard work. Trust me! I used to live on a farm, and the name really fits. Because when I was little, you were only considered a redneck if your neck was literally red and you do all the stuff I mentioned before (well, not the tobacco because too young).

But just answer me my question because you seem desperate to be considered a southerner!

I think people use the word Redneck in the wrong way. They think all country people are rednecks and are uneducated.....Which is really funny!
If being a person from the country is called Redneck. I guess I'm a redneck and proud of it.

We ask Jeff Foxworthy. A glories absence of sophistication. But a redneck is me. A hard workin, tax paying, middle class American. We are nice folks. I have a hard working job. I make good money, and my family comes first. I sit on the front porch with my bloodhound pup on my days off and wave at every car that goes by. I go to church on Sundays, I say grace, I say ma'am to every woman no matter her age, I open doors and hold them for everyone, I ride horses, I rode bulls until my accident, I still dip a little snuff, we drink moonshine on Saturday nights at our barn parties, I listen to old country music, I'm always willing to help out a stranger and not ask for anything in return, I have served my country for the last 5 years, I hunt, I fish, I own way too much camo,and fishin rods, and I'm best friends with everybody, and I treat everyone with respect. Oh and Shelby Cakes maybe she is just proud of being from the South; you ought to take a page from her book. And one more thing. WILL YOU MARRY ME:)

I don't believe you are from a certain state, anyone can be a redneck. I think it is someone who is a real smartass all the time, someone who is hard to get along with and thinks they know everything. Most that I have come in contact with drink heavily.

I am what is considered to be a "redneck" I drive a pickup and listen to country music, I also open doors for women and I bring home a good living, I treat my neighbors with respect and I mow my yard, I have two sons with college degrees, and my home is paid for. Anything else?

HA! you Okies are funny, putting an upholstered couch on your front porches...now THAT is redneck. Rain, sleet, snow or hail..there that nappy couch sits, and in the summer...their the rednecks sit, watching the day go by on their moldy old couch. ewww!!

OK, truly, it's a all, I mean ALL, American country person who thinks every other ethnicity (German, Mexican, Alien lol) is not even worth looking at. I doubt you are but most are. There's a city in San Diego called Santee where they seriously are red-necks. They look at outsiders (from a city 2 miles away called El Cajon) like a bunch of illegal aliens!

1.Hillbillys= live in the hills and hollar to neighbors,couch on porch
2.Dogpatchers=have dirt floors and eat roadkill or shoot supper
3.Rednecks=fight at bars over nothing,wear muscle shirts year 'round
4.Morons=anyone who classifies people by the way they choose to live
