Jimmy Olsen is the future Cub Reporter/ Photographer for "The Daily Planet" The news paper where Clark will work for in his later years when he moonlights as Superman. Aaron Ashmore is the brother of Shawn Ashmore, who plays Ice Man in the X-Men movies and also played an unrelated character named Eric who acquired Clarks powers via a lightning strike. If you don't know who Jimmy Olsen is, you shouldn't be watching "Smallville".

Should I have an opinion on this? I mean, I love Smallville, but who is Jimmy Olsen and Aaron Ashmore? Perhaps I'm missing some Superman link....
