Cranberry juice, also LOTS of water, both of which will flush out your system. You can buy cranberry tablets and/or uristat over the counter which will really help with the pain. I will tell you from personal experience, I have had around 7-10 UTIs in my life and only 1 or 2 of them have gone away on their own with at home remedies and rest. Usually these infections NEED antibiotics, or they can turn into a kidney infection, which happened to me once. I was VERY sick, and it can even be life threatening. So if it doesn't go away in 2 to 3 days since the start of symptoms, please see a physician. Good luck!

Cranberry juice only helps if you drink it before or right at the beginning of the UTI. Once you get it, the bacteria is there and the juice won't kill the bacteria. You need to go on antibiotics to take care of the bacteria.

yup...antibiotic is needed to get rid of it for sure... but drinking cranberry juice on a daily basis will help prevent them since the cranberries will help to keep bacteria from sticking from the bladder walls. (I also take a vitamin C tab every day). (make sure you pee after sex too!!)

plenty of water and cranberry juice. the objective is to make you pee alot so you pee out the infection. also eat alot of yogurt. it has active enzymes that will act like an antibiotic and kill the infection.
