I'd check around local shopping malls for shops that sell both new and used video games in all the popular player formats--including N64. That's your best bet, where the game can be pre-purchase tested before you take it home. And if you find it's defective, you can return it for either another game or a refund.

got to cduniverse.com and select games at the top. they would have a catogry for you to choose from by game system. or type in the game title.
